Abstract

The short story 'Los cuadros de una exposición' presents a figuration of the crisis of the subject, resulting from the effects of a gaze in which the real and the imaginary are distinguished. It is at the crossroads of these two levels that the subject constitutes itself as a no subject, thus recognizing itself as a subject in the impossibility of subjection who, seeing the place it occupies, sees itself looking, sees itself looking at itself . The effects of the gaze are established in Moreno-Durán's literary project, a project in which the experience of the foreign becomes a central theme
