Abstract

The present paper intends to analyze some recurring topics in the criticism of Augusto Monterroso's work, mainly that which characterizes the author as a renovator of the classic fable and as a subvertor of its moral contents. We are interested in revising such critical discourses in the light of a reading of the axiological aspects in La oveja negra y demás fábulas and of the authorial strategies deployed by the author in other texts
