"Where I said, I say". Cortázar and political correctness
Main Article Content
Abstract
This essay revisits Cortazar's anti-Peronism based on a reading of the short text "Donde dije digo" (“Where I said I say”), practically unknown to the general public and published in the Spanish magazine Índice in 1973. This practice of exhumation allows us to re-read in a different light a series of short stories saturated with critical interventions ("Casa tomada", "Las puertas del cielo" and "La banda") with which it would be possible to reopen the political dimension of Cortázar's work, in particular its conflictive link with Peronism and with the potential of the signifier "pueblo".
